Create & Share Files

Files are a great way to provide documents to portal users (sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers). These can include programs, contracts, venue maps, and so much more.

Before you can assign a file to a portal, you first will need to upload one.

Upload A File

  1. Navigate to Portals on the navigation panel and select "Files" at the top of the page.

  2. Select the orange "Add File" button and complete the following fields:

    1. Upload a file or provide an external link

      1. NOTE: Files can not exceed 2GB

    2. Title: This is how the file name will be listed within the portal

    3. Description: The description will be listed on the portal home page below the title as helpful text to the portal user.

  3. Once complete, click the orange "Add File" button at the bottom of the pop-up window.

Assign A File

Now that you have added your file, it is time to assign it to the respective portal.

Note: Files can be assigned to more than one portal.

  1. Within the Portals module, select the three ellipse dots to the right of the portal you would like to assign the task to and select Edit.

  2. On the next page, select the button Save & Customize button in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

  3. Within the Share Files widget, select the button Select File to open a pop-up window. This will show any tasks you have created to select and assign to your portal.

  4. From the list of files that have already been uploaded, click the "Select" button to the right of the title.

Files are accessible from the section Files in the portal.
