What is the "This Site Can't Be Reached" error?

An error message such as "This site can not be reached" appears on your screen when a website can not be accessed due to technical problems such as an overall failure of your internet connection or a misconfigured internet, network, or firewall settings.

Restarting your router is the first line of defense as it involves easy troubleshooting steps that can take a few minutes. 

Unplug the power cord attached to your router and wait a full minute before plugging the cord back into the router. Once the router is back on, wait for your internet connection to reset, and then try re-accessing the website.

Disable Your Firewall Your operating system’s built-in firewall can prevent you from accessing certain websites. To know if this is the root of the problem, try temporarily disabling your firewall and visiting the site.

Ensure the website is not blocked Internet providers may block certain websites which results in you not being able to access them. You can check within your internet settings to see what sites are blocked and which are allowed. Blocked sites can easily be moved to an allowed site if needed.
